The New MERIDA Silex is your dedicated bike packing and bike adventure companion, a rough-road training bike and with day-to-day riders and commuters who use the SILEX for pretty much anything a bike needs to do.
The new SILEX keeps all this versatility, but increased tyre clearance of up to 700x45 mm tyres improves comfort and trail capability even further. The updated geometry features increased reach and a slackened head angle for improved stability, particularly when laden with bike packing equipment and on rougher terrain. A shorter, more sporty-looking headtube, paired with a longer, suspension-corrected fork, keeps the much-loved comfortable and confidence-inspiring riding position of the original bike, just without the love-it-or-hate-it looks.
